Varsity Girls Soccer Beat Irving Highlands

The mustangs beat Irving Highlands 5-0.

On Saturday, February 3, the Mustangs Varsity Girls Soccer played at John Paul II High School against Irving Highlands. As the game progressed, the Mustangs took the lead at halftime 3-0. Junior, Kadence Ackmann was asked on her thoughts about the game. “I thought that we played well together. We only have a few games left in district so we need to keep working hard.” The varsity girls continued to maintain possession and take shots, finishing the game winning 5-0.

The next varsity girls soccer game is against Irving Highlands, away on February 8.

Tatum Barnard has been attending MCA since kindergarten and is now a sophomore. This will be her second year on the newspaper staff. Barnard will be playing soccer for her school in the winter. In her freetime, she enjoys being with her friends, family, and playing competitive soccer. Her favorite part of MCA is the Christian community she is surrounded by everyday. Barnard's favorite verse is Ephesians 2:3-5.  "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved."
