On Thursday February 22, the Middle School softball team faced off against Argyle. In their first game of the season, McKinney Christian Middle School softball defeated Liberty Christian Argyle in a 6-0 victory. With several 8th graders out, the 6th graders were asked to step up to help preserve a shutout win for pitcher Harper Johnson and catcher Elizabeth Thompson. Petra Westra, Landrie Joseph, Cana Heckdon and Makenna Clark finished out the infield defense. Alayna Behn, Abby Wysong and Katie Thomas defended the outfield and Emmie Harmon and Evie Hobbs were designated hitters. Assistant Coach Scott Emley said, “While the bats were hot, the most exciting was Emmie Harmon, in her first game ever, hitting a single RBI in the final inning.”  The Mustangs next game is on Monday February 26 against Prestonwood Plano.

Hi, I'm Bailey and I'm a freshman. I have been attending MCA since 3rd grade. I enjoy playing volleyball, being with friends, and being with family. This is my first year in newspaper and I'm very excited. My favorite MCA memory is going to the championship for D1 in 8th grade and having an undefeated season. My favorite bible verse is Psalms 27:19. "As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart."
