Mustangs Golf Competes in the Panther Creek Golf Tournament

On Monday, March 25 the McKinney Christian Academy varsity boys and girls golf team played in the Panther Creek tournament at Westridge golf course. Both teams placed second overall for the tournament. The boys were led by juniors Shane Robison placing fifth shooting an 81 and captain Jude Westra shooting an 81 coming in seventh. The varsity girls team was led by senior captains Meilania Vance placing fifth and Makena Didyk placing seventh. When asked about how the tournament went Vance said, “ it was really nice to play well and take home second place, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to finish the year off strong.” The Mustangs next tournament will be Monday, April 15 for the District Tournament at Eagles Bluff Golf Course.

Nicholas Catullo is currently a senior and has been attending MCA since 1st grade. This will be his second year in newspaper. Catullo will be competing in cross country, soccer, and golf for his school. In his freetime, he enjoys racing in Ironman triathlons with his dad and hanging out with friends and family. His favorite memory at MCA is going to the cross country State Championship  his freshmen year.
