Mustangs Golf Advances to Regionals

The Varsity Golf Teams Play in the District Golf Tournament.

On Tuesday, April 16, the McKinney Christian Academy Varsity Mens and Girls golf team played in the district tournament at the Eagles Bluff golf course. Both teams placed fourth overall for the tournament. The boys were led by captain, Jude Westra, shooting an 79 coming in seventh . The varsity girls team was led by senior captain Milania Vance shooting a 88 and placing forth . When asked about how the tournament went Westra said, “ I think we played very well, it’s always tough to play big tournaments like this and continue to play solidly and still make a push for state.”

The Mustangs next tournament will be April 22 for Regionals Tournament at Luna Vista Golf Course.

Nicholas Catullo is currently a senior and has been attending MCA since 1st grade. This will be his second year in newspaper. Catullo will be competing in cross country, soccer, and golf for his school. In his freetime, he enjoys racing in Ironman triathlons with his dad and hanging out with friends and family. His favorite memory at MCA is going to the cross country State Championship  his freshmen year. His favorite bible verse is Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
