On Thursday, April 3, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity softball team lost to Prince of Peace 2-16. The Lady Mustangs showed great sportsmanship and played to the best of their abilities through the entire game. Freshman Harper Johnson pitched the five innings of the game. Johnson got many strikeouts and used fastballs, changups, and drop balls. Freshman Landrie Joseph and Elizabeth Thompson scored the runs. When Johnson was asked about the game, she said, “Although the outcome wasn’t what we wanted, we had a lot of fun, stayed positive, and definitely improved. I know in my heart that we will use all of our skills and strengths as a team to come to victory against our next opponents.”
Their next game is on Monday, April 7, against Newman International.
